  5.  This is the binary of GNU sed v1.14. Like most of todays GNU-releases it
  6.  compiled just fine with the supplied configure-script. No documentation was
  7.  provided in the archive from prep.ai.mit.edu, and I don't know where to find
  8.  suitable docs for GNU sed. If you really need it you could always grab the
  9.  manpage from your Unix-box. The manpage is said to be somewhat cryptic and
  10.  hard to understand (haven't read it myself yet :-), but it should at least
  11.  give you a basic knowledge in how to operate sed. Most users will not need a
  12.  manual anyway since the use of sed often is restricted to other programs
  13.  running it in a pipe or similar.

  15.  Typing: setenv TERM vt52; setenv PAGER cat; man sed > sed.man
  16.  on your Unix-box should give you a vt52-manpage in the file sed.man.

  18.  Compilation and linking was handled by GCC v2.3.3 (Atari PL2) and MiNTLibs
  19.  PL30. High optimization was turned on during compilation and the baserel-
  20.  flag was enabled during both compilation and linking. This is one of few
  21.  programs which I've managed to make sharable (I _think_ it's sharable at
  22.  least :-). I'd really appreciate if someone would explain to me how to
  23.  correctly use the flag and how to successfully build sharable programs with-
  24.  out rewriting the whole source. :-(

  26.  As usual the source-code can be obtained at your local GNU-site, or if they
  27.  haven't got it, from prep.ai.mit.edu with anonymous FTP. Please respect the
  28.  FTP-guidelines by only FTP'ing during non-prime-time!
